Harriett Faye Cockerham

Graveside services for Mrs. Harriett Faye Cockerham, age 72, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Roselawn Park Cemetery 2591 US Highway 84, Palestine, Texas.  Rev. Cody Nelson will officiate.  Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Seventh and Main Baptist Church, Bonham, Texas.  Mrs. Cockerham passed away at Texoma Medical Center in Denison on Saturday morning.

Harriett was born on January 2, 1949 in Palestine, Texas the daughter of William Miles Sipes and Lena Faye Avara Sipes.  She was a graduate of Palestine High School and married Don Cockerham on January 22, 1966 in Palestine.  Harriett was a faithful Registered Nurse and served the north Texas area throughout her career.  She worked at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Texoma Medical Center in Denison, and as an Intensive Care Nurse for several years at the Northeast Medical Center in Bonham (TMC Bonham today), along with being active in Home Health. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family and was a faithful member of the Seventh and Main Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Don Cockerham of Bonham, daughter, Janice Henslee and her husband Keith along with their children, Garrison, Lydia and Colton; daughter Sherry Alonzo and her children, Jason and Brandon; daughter, Donna Hale and her husband David and their children, Dawson and Delaney; sister, Mary Wallis of Palestine, extended family and a host of friends.
