H. C. Harlan, Jr.

H. C. Harlan, Jr. died at his residence Friday morning, June 5, 2015. He was born June 8, 1946 in Bonham, Texas to H. C. Harlan and Gertie Meek Harlan. He married Bonnie June Ford on Dec. 5, 1964 and she preceded him in death July 15, 1999.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dodd City Cemetery. Millard Doan Brent will officiate. The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday night.
H. C. "Junior" was a longtime member of Dodd City Baptist Church where he served as an Elder. He was a lifelong farmer rancher and retired from General Cable.
He met Mildred Compton in 2001 and she survives him. He is also survived by a son, Jerry Don Harlan and granddaughter, Megan Harlan, and a great grandson; four brothers, Clovis Harlan, Hulan Harlan, Lendal Harlan and Larry Harlan; and one sister, Doris Gibson.
H. C. was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Pallbearers will by Jim Tyler, Brian George, Richard Hicks, Andy Weeks, Randy Spiller and Teddy Fry.
