Grace Margaret Tucker

Grace Margaret Bauer Tucker, 99, of Bonham, Texas passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Bonham, Texas. The family will receive friends at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Pastor Lisa Reece will officiate. A private family burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery.

Grace Margaret Bauer Tucker was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 17, 1923, to parents Gilbert E. and Elsie Sievert Bauer. Grace married Edward Randall Tucker in New Haven, Connecticut in 1943 where he was stationed with the Air Force during W.W. II. Their son, Randy, was born in New Haven in 1944. The Tucker family came to Texas in 1950. Jarrett Leon Tucker their second son was born in Houston, Texas in 1955. As husband and wife, the couple started several businesses including General Aviation and Ed Tucker Distributor, which is now known as Tucker PowerSports.

Grace was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother selflessly giving her time to care for others. She was a Pink Lady hospital volunteer in Irving and continued in Bonham. Her service to the Pink Ladies exceeded 12,000 hours. She loved to work in the gift shop at the hospital. She donated handmade baby blankets that took her many hours of loving work to complete. She also said that she was the gift shop's "best customer" as she purchased many items for herself and gifts for others. She also enjoyed buying and donating books to the Bonham Public Library.

She faithfully attended church and had a true servant's heart. After the closure of the Zion Lutheran Church in Bonham, she attended the First Presbyterian Church with her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Tucker after 59 years of marriage; her son Randy Tucker, and her sister Betty Karay.

Grace leaves to cherish her memories: Son, Jarrett Leon Tucker and wife Rachael of Bonham, Texas. Grandchildren: Melanie Tucker Connelly and husband Brad of Trenton, Texas, Mica Tucker and husband Zach Rodgers of Roanoke, Texas, and Jarrett Leon Tucker Jr. of Bonham, Texas. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Kellie Connelly Pilkinton (Billy) of Bonham, Texas, Brooke Connelly of Trenton, Texas Michael Connelly of Trenton, Texas and Aubrey Rodgers of Waxahachie, Texas.

The family would like to thank Seven Oaks Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Heart to Heart Hospice, and faithful friend Toni Mason for their loving care.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the TMC Bonham Hospital Auxiliary or the Bonham Public Library.
