Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Gloria Steinkamp, 83, of Bonham at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, with Fr. Fred Caldwell as Celebrant. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 5:00 PM Tuesday at Wise Funeral Home with a visitation immediately following. The Interment will be held at 11:15 AM Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Gloria passed away Friday morning, Jan. 13, 2017 at her residence.
Gloria was born February 27, 1933 in Martindale, Caldwell, County, Texas, the daughter of Epimenio Casillas and Maria Morales . Gloria served her country in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. She married Roy Ervin Steinkamp on Oct. 8, 1955 at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Following her military service, she remained at home to raise and care for her children. She was a Girl Scout and Blue Bird Leader. Later she was a nurse at Wysong Hospital from 1986-2001. She was a very devoted and active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bonham, where she helped provide communion to the sick and homebound parishoners. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carmen Casillas.

A number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Steinkamp, Nathanial Salerno, Damas Reed, Preston Steinkamp, Josh Molidor, Cassy Reed, and Honorary Pallbearer, Jacob Steinkamp.
The family would like to invite family and friends back to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Bishop Grahmann Center for food and fellowship, at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, following the visitation.
