Glenda Capehart Osborne went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Medical City of Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at Boyd Baptist Church with burial in Willow Wild Cemetery. Rev. Lyn Holly and Rev. Mike Allred will officiate. Glenda was born May 10, 1954 in Greenville, Texas, to parents Ray C. A. Capehart and Adell A. Underwood Capehart. She was a graduate of Sam Rayburn High School. Glenda married her childhood sweetheart, Roy L. Osborne, Jr. on June 3, 1972 at the Telephone Baptist Church in Telephone, Texas. Glenda was a longtime member of Boyd Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She served as a member of the Lighthouse Choir at Boyd and was the Women's Ministry Leader for a number of years. She also worked in the Awana program, helped with Church Camp and served in the Church's home mission field of Judgment House each year. Glenda was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and Mamaw. She loved attending her children's and grandchildren's activities; whether it was sporting events or other school and church functions, you would always find her there supporting them – she was their biggest fan. She was an avid genealogy researcher and had volumes of family history and also enjoyed working with crafts. Glenda retired from Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham on Aug. 31, 2014 after 30 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years and forever sweetheart, Roy L. Osborne, Jr. of the home; daughter, Sabrina Walker and husband, Dwain; son Roy L. Osborne, III and wife Mikki, five grandchildren, Paige Walker, Heather Walker, Dillon Walker, Angel Osborne and Christian Osborne, all of Bonham, TX; brothers, Billy Capehart and wife, Madaline and Ronnie Capehart all of Bonham; sisters, Pat Lee of Garland, TX and Betty Spann of Allen, TX; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Freda Osborne and Joe and Tonja Osborne, all of Bonham; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.
Glenda was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Osborne, her parents, a brother, Bobby Capehart and twin brother, Glen Capehart, brothers-in-law, Roy Lee and Herbert Spann, nephew, B. Jason Capehart, two great nephews and two great nieces.
Pallbearers will be Tony Crawford, Dan Essary, John Moore, Ray Young, Jason Fox and Ronnie Coonrod. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Boyd Baptist Church.
One of Glenda's favorite Bible verses was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." A true and faithful servant of her Lord, Glenda lived her faith, and on Monday, she was welcomed home where she heard in person, Jesus' words spoken in Matthew 25:21a, …Well done, good and faithful servant…
