Georgene Ann Jackson

Graveside services for Mrs. Georgene Ann Jackson, age 87, of Fort Worth, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 at Arledge Ridge Cemetery, Highway 78 South of Bonham, Texas. The family will receive friends at the Gober Baptist Church, 4622 FM 68 Gober, Texas, from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. prior to graveside services. Georgene passed away on January 4, 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be under the direction of Wise Funeral Home, 219 W. Sam Rayburn Dr. Bonham, Texas. Rev. Kevin Davis will officiate.

Georgene was born on February 28, 1926 in Bennington, Oklahoma, the daughter of Sam Hilliard and Cora Phillips Hilliard. She was graduate of Bailey High School and married Jay B. Jackson in 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1973. She was a member of the Oak Knoll Baptist Church in Haltom City and was a volunteer with the Haltom City Senior Citizens Center where she was honored with numerous awards including the Volunteer of the Year. She was active in the Haltom City Fire Department Light Bulb Drive each year and the Red Hat Club. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed her fellowship with family and friends. Georgene was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Paul and George Hilliard.

She is survived by:
Sons and daughters-in-law: Jimmy Dean and Jane Jackson of Austin
Sammy Glen and Debbie Jackson of Haltom City
Gary Wayne and Peggy Jackson of Ft. Worth
Daughter and son-in-law: Joy and Darrell Williams of Hudson Oaks
Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
