George "Hal" Harold Taylor, Jr.

Memorial services for George Harold "Hal" Taylor, Jr., 54, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Brad Dardaganian will officiate. Hal passed away Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6, 2013 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the services.

Hal was born July 22, 1959 in Dallas, Texas, the son of George Harold Taylor, Sr. and Leona McArthur Ten-Eyck. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and was a graduate of Grand Saline High School. He attended Sam Houston State University. Hal married Melissa Cox on Jan. 23, 1982 in Golden, Texas. He was a certified scuba diver and 3rd Degree Brown Belt in Shounre. He received his peace officer certification and was a TDCJ Level 2 Correctional Officer at the Coffield Unit in Palestine, Texas. Hal enjoyed wood working and refurbishing the home place. He loved fishing and playing Backgammon and eating M&Ms and Oreos. He was of the Methodist faith and was a child care worker. He was currently the store manager at Texoma Country Pools & Spa in Sherman, Texas. Hal was preceded in death by his parents.

Hal is survived by his wife, Melissa Taylor of Bonham, TX,
son, Jeremy Taylor and wife, Sarah of Tyler, TX, daughters, Morgan Taylor and fiancé, John Smith of Pottsboro, TX and
Brittnie Taylor of Ector, TX,
brothers, Brad Taylor and wife, Stephanie of Tennessee, Russell Taylor of Kemp, TX, and Kevin Taylor of Colorado, sisters, Sarah Epstein and husband, Herbert of New Jersey and Cheryl Tobia and husband, Billy of New Jersey, grandchildren, Kaleb, Cameron, Landon and Lilly,
stepmother, Barbara Taylor of Golden, TX, and numerous step brothers and sisters, extended family and friends.
