Funeral services for Genece Elaine Eubanks of Leonard, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Leonard, TX under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor Martha Myre will officiate. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. Genece met with God while worshipping at First United Methodist Church in Leonard on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011

Genece was born May 27, 1955 in Dallas, Texas, daughter of Rev. Robert F. Mixson and Gerry Mears Mixson. She was a graduate of Quinlan High School and married Fred Eubanks on Aug. 22, 1983 in Hawaii. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a devoted friend and a strong, beautiful, and faithful Christian woman. Genece was a member of First United Methodist Church in Leonard where she was the president of United Methodist Women. Over the years, she served in many capacities. She was Sunday School teacher for adults and children, taught children about missions at VBS for many years and was involved with Project Transformation in Sherman feeding interns and reading to children. She helped to start the children's youth program JFK (Just for Kids) at FUMC Leonard. She was involved in the activities of her children, serving with the PTL, FFA, and as a Boy Scouts Den Mother. She was also a strong supporter of CASA. Genece was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gilbert Mixson.

Daughters, Katie Cook and husband, Jeremy, of Honey Grove, TX,Kristie Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, LA;
Brothers, Robert James Mixson, Kelvin Mixson and wife, Cathy, and Timothy Mixson and wife, Jackie, all of Quinlan,TX;
Sisters, Mary Ann Tatum and husband, Bonny, of Mesquite, TX,
Vivian Taylor and husband, Ray of Quinlan, TX;
Grandchildren, Brennen Bourgeois, Bryson Cook, Clayton Cook and Ashlyn Cook;
Nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Glen Murphy, Craig Allen, Kevin Schur, John Kay, Riley Bonds and Jack Bonds.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 218, Leonard, TX 75452.
