Funeral services for Freda Elizabeth VanHooser Goar, 81, of Carrollton, formerly of Fannin County, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Mark Posey will officiate. Burial will follow in Sandy Cemetery. Freda passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at Carrollton Health & Rehab.
Freda was born Nov. 15, 1929 in Dry Knob, Missouri, daughter of William Oscar VanHooser and Sarah Ledoah McAlister VanHooser. She attended schools in Bonham. Freda married Ivan Verdell Goar, Apr. 29, 1951 in Rockwall, TX, and he preceded her in death, Apr. 1, 1982. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Freda was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Timmy Goar, two daughters, Freda King and Sandra Goar, and six siblings.
She is survived by
Son, Larry Goar of Carrollton, TX,
2 Daughters, Sarah Musick of The Colony, TX,
And Pamela Featherston of Wilmer, TX,
2 Brothers, Delane VanHooser and Lyndell VanHooser,
Sister, Eula Walls,
11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren,Numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jody Rushing, Jeffrey Rushing, Preston Goar, Jonathan Musick and Shaun Musick.
