Funeral services for Sarah Frances Marchbanks, 86, of Savoy, formerly of Windom will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 at Dodd City Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will follow in Windom Cemetery. Frances passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 17, 2014 at Mullican Care Center in Savoy, Texas.
Frances was born March 31, 1928 in Tolbert, Texas, the daughter of Roy White and Leonia Coble White. She attended Bonham High School. Frances married Leonard Wesley Marchbanks who preceded her in death in 1964. She was a seamstress at Bonham Manufacturing for a number of years and later worked for home health care. She enjoyed sewing, working puzzles, and spending time with her grandkids and babies. Frances was a member of Dodd City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Robert White, Luther O'Neal White, J. T White and Roy White; and a sister, Opal Devault.
Frances is survived by two sons, Richard Marchbanks and wife, Jill of Bonham, Texas and sons, Wesley and Michael Marchbanks and
David Marchbanks and wife, Barbara of Cleburne, Texas and sons, David and wife Tina Marchbanks and Matthew Marchbanks and daughters, April and Rebecca Marchbanks and Sarah and husband, Jonathan Becker;
Daughter, Debra Horvath of Windom, Texas and daughter, Renee Sohl and son, Seth Horvath; a brother, Troy White of Dodd City, Texas
9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert White, James White and Jonathan Becker.
