Graveside services for Floyd Langham, age 84 of Ivanhoe, Texas will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Danner Community, Texas, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Officiating will be Big John Salem. Floyd passed away, at his residence, on January 25, 2018.

Floyd was born July 3, 1933 in Bonham, Texas to Elmer Lee Langham and Leva Willie Hardin Langham. He was known by many names, such as, Uncle, Boss, Grandpa, Gramps, G-Pa, and Dad; but Floyd was an exceptional man, that 'one of a kind' person you rarely meet. He was out-going and had a charming personality. Floyd had a great sense of humor; his big bright smile was contagious. Floyd was a people person, he liked being around others, spreading his good humor and compassion. He had a heart of gold and was passionate about helping others; he held a special affection for the underdog. Floyd enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, but most of all he loved horses. He held many different hats when it came to his working history, he was an entrepreneur. Roofing and being an Auctioneer were two of his favorite jobs. Floyd was an inspiration to many but none more than to his family whom he cherished above all things. He had an amazing way of making you feel invincible, like you could do anything. His charm and unique character and giving heart will forever be cherished and missed. Floyd married Wanda LaVerne Meadows on May 18, 1952 in Clovis, New Mexico. They were married 65 years before she preceded him in death on August 8, 2017. Also preceding him in death were his parents; Brothers, J H, Buddy, and Eugene; and Sisters, Louise, Loraine, Billie, and Opal.

Floyd is survived by his daughter, Janice Portwood and husband Robert of Childress, Texas; Sons, James Lee Langham and wife Kay of Bushland, Texas and Lloyd Lee Langham and wife Crystal of Honey Grove, Texas; Grandchildren, Matthew Langham and wife Tiffany, Joshua Langham and wife Alicia, Tonya Kroll and husband Cody White, Tammy Imhof and husband Cody, Kim Portwood and husband Chris Ross, Jennifer, Mark, and Rosebud Dophied, and Randi Langham; multiple Great-grandchildren, Great-great grandchildren; Sister, Donna Rosson of Amarillo, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at 9-10 AM before service on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Wise Funeral Home.
