Floyd Wayne Cox

Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home for Floyd Wayne Cox, age 80, of Bonham, Texas. Floyd passed away Thursday morning, October 14, 2021, lovingly surrounded by family at his home in Bonham, Texas.

Floyd was born on July 20, 1941, in Arp, Texas, the son of James Cox and Martha Schmidt Cox. He married Mildred Eileen Austin on November 4, 1960, in Caldwell, Idaho. They were married for 54 years prior to her passing. Floyd and Mildred enjoyed playing pool and entering in tournaments. They traveled to many places, including Las Vegas, for their tournaments. Floyd enjoyed playing the guitar and riding his bike. He greatly enjoyed his farm work before he retired. He was the kindest person and was always helping others in need. He will be greatly missed. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mildred, son, Timothy Wayne Cox, grandson, Robert Cox, and brother, Curtis Cox. .

Floyd is survived by sons, Toby Cox of Bonham, Texas and Daniel Cox and wife Terry Wheat of Bonham, Texas; daughter, Cindy Cox of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Gene Cox and wife Vesta of Idaho; sisters, Connie Wieczorek and husband Tim of Idaho and Peggy Keevy and husband Craig of Cheney, Washington; grandchildren, Theresa Cox, Lee Clark, Stephen Clark, and Taylor Clark; great grandchildren, Michelle Cox, Marissa Cox, and Michael Cox; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
