Funeral services for Bennie Fay Groves, 83, of Ravenna, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 8, 2016 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Kevin Lane will officiate. Burial will follow in Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Fay passed away early Monday morning, July 4, 2016 at Seven Oaks Nursing & Rehab in Bonham.
Fay was born Dec.6, 1932 in Clarksville, Texas, the daughter of Hobart McKinley Watley and Lillie Pearl Peek Watley. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Sebern Watley, Cecil Watley, Amos Watley and Martin Watley, a daughter, Teresa Hammonds and a grandson, Thomas Calame Robinson.
She is survived by her Former spouse and longtime friend, Newman Caldwell; two Daughters, Joanie Carrington and Tamberly Robinson; two Stepdaughters, Lita Huffman and Crystal Caldwell; Stepson, Nolan Caldwell; Grandchildren, India Bennett, Russell Hammonds, Misti Withrow, Thomas Withrow, Chuck Baker, Lisa Wallace, Kylie Hewett, Kelsey Hewett, Noah Caldwell and Ashten Caldwell; Numerous great grandchildren; Nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be William Robertson, Jerry Huffman, Nolan Caldwell, Noah Caldwell, Hollis Daniels, and Carl Watley.
