Funeral services for Eva Mae Lindsey, 82 of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 2, 2012 at First United Methodist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Liz Talbert, Rev. Morgan Malone and Dr. Randy McBroom will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery. Eva passed away Tuesday night, Feb 28, 2012 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham.

Eva was born Feb. 27, 1930 in Ladonia, Texas, daughter of Grover Winn and Eva Mae Turner Winn. She was a 1948 graduate of Bonham High School. Eva married John L. Lindsey on Jan. 10, 1950 in Bonham and he preceded her in death, Aug. 5, 2011. Eva has had a wide variety of jobs. She has been everything from a movie usher to a soda jerk at McKnight's Drug Store. She was also the office manager at Bonham Mfg. for 17 years. Eva was appointed as deputy clerk in the Fannin County District Clerk's office in 1974. She ran for the office and was elected to her first term in 1978. She was successfully elected until 1992 when she retired. Eva was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church where she served in a number of areas including Volunteer Coordinator on the Administrative Council, the Chancel Choir, United Methodist Women, the Builder's Class and KOOL Club where she was known as "Miss Eva the Snack Lady". She was a member of the "Pink Ladies" at Red River Regional Hospital. She loved cooking and canning, jams, jellies and pickles. She enjoyed helping those in need. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Wallace Winn, Lucian Winn and Aubrey H. Winn, and 3 sisters, Jean Cline, Edna Earle Loftin and Alma Lou Echols Horne.

5 Great Grandchildren, Griffin Wagner, Sydney Wagner, Asher Wagner, Natalie Griffin and Katherine Griffin,
Sisters-in-law, Annabelle Lindsey of Bonham and Marbel Lindsey of Llano, TX
A number of nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be Joe Griffin, John Griffin, Josh Wagner, Griffin Wagner, Larry Echols and Daniel Echols.
