Graveside services for Eva Mae Lewis, 101, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Willow Wild Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Eva Mae passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Beacon Hill in Denison, Texas.
Eva Mae was born July 4, 1914 in the Nunnelee Community of Fannin County, Texas, the daughter of Barney Nelson and Mae Ware Nelson. She was a graduate of Bonham High School. Eva Mae married George Allyn Lewis on July 31, 1945 in Bonham, Texas, and he preceded her in death July 7, 2003. She was a sales representative for McKnight Drug Store in Bonham many years before her retirement. Eva Mae was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Everett Nelson, Paul Nelson and Boyd Nelson.
Eva Mae is survived by her son, Richard Allen Lewis of Mesquite, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews
