Eunice Letha Morgan

Funeral services for Eunice Letha Morgan, 91, of Tyler, formerly of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gary Pettigrew will officiate. Burial will follow in Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Eunice passed away Sunday night, Dec. 11, 2011 in Tyler.

Eunice was born Feb. 28, 1920 in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of James Martin Young and Letha Caldwell Young. She attended Gober schools. Eunice married Woodrow William "Woody" Morgan on June 24, 1966 in Lancaster, Texas, and he preceded her in death, Feb. 1, 1979. Eunice was employed with J. C. Penney's for 20 years, and was a dispatcher for the Bonham Police Dept. for 20 years. In her words, she spent her lifetime 'giving everyone a hard time'. She loved gardening and cooking for her family and the officers at the police department. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene for many years. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Martha Amlong, 2 sisters, Edith Iona Newingham and Lois Kyzer, 3 grandchildren, Gary Amlong, John Amlong and Tammy Amlong and a great grandson, R. J. Snyder.

She is survived by ~
Daughter, Viola Wiggins Aston,
Grandchildren, James Wiggins, Barbara Echols, Sharlot Snyder, Daryll Amlong and Anthony Amlong, and a number of great grandchildren.
