Enoch Lowell Virdell

Enoch Lowell Virdell of Bonham Tx. went to be with the Lord early Thursday morning May 18, 2023. Lowell was born on July 9th ,1947 in Odessa Tx. Lowell spent most of his life in Midland Tx, where he served the Lord, raised his family and lived for over 50 years.

Lowell was predeceased by his mother, Nila, and his father, Enoch of Odessa ,Tx.

He is survived by the love of his life, Sherry, whom he married on November 29, 1977. As well as his children, Chad, Mitzy, James, and John, and his three sisters, Darlene, Patricia, and Gwen. Along with seven wonderful grandchildren: Kailea, CJ, Courtney, Sarina, Ty, Kamron, and Payten. Accompanying great grandchildren Kimber, Kinsley, Corbin, Beau, and many extended family.

Anyone who knew Lowell knew that he was the most loving husband and father a family could ask for. Married to his wife Sherry for over 45 years, their love for one another was not only inspiring and beautiful, it set a great example for their children to follow. Lowell's love for the Lord was evidenced by the way he lived his life, loved his wife and led his family. Lowell was a dedicated employee for UPS as he worked very hard for over 37 years. While he was not working, he was a lover of many things, such as woodworking, golf, fishing, a cold can of Pepsi, or making
homemade ice cream. But most of all, he was a family man, a man of integrity and faith, and he loved serving God and others. Lowell was an active member of the body of Christ his entire life, always serving the church in numerous ways, always giving of his time and talents. In 2017, Lowell and Sherry moved to Bonham Tx, where they could be found most evenings sitting on their back porch, watching the birds and squirrels play, as the deer would gather to eat. Lowell leaves behind a legacy of faith, love of God, love of family and an example to all!

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am, May 23rd, 2023, with Pastor Lee Jackson officiating at Wise Funeral Home on Sam Rayburn Dr., Bonham, TX, 75418.
