Homegoing services for Ella McVay Leslie, age 97 of Bonham, TX will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX. Officiating will be Rev. Tony Whitehead and Rev. Kevin Taylor. Interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX. Ella went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2019. She was born March 5, 1922 in Bonham, Texas to H Albert Smith & Hugh Alice Dearmond Smith

Edith married Merritt Clyde McVay on September 14, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1992 and later married Grady Weldon Leslie on October 23, 1992 in Bonham, TX and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Thompson of Palmer, Texas and her son Mike McVay and his wife Carolyn of Tulsa, Oklahoma and one stepson Fred Leslie of Huntsville, Alabama.  Three grandchildren, Cindy Thompson of Palmer, Texas.  Christi Rose and husband Ricky of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Michael McVay and wife Sherry of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Also surviving her is a great grandson Johnathan Rose and two great great grandchildren, Titas Rose and Nitalia Rose of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  One Sister, Clyde McVay of Irving, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

The family will receive friends at 6-8 PM Thursday on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Wise Funeral Home.
