Ella Louise Caughron

Funeral Services for Ella Louise Caughron, age 76 of Gilmer, TX will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Lackey. Interment will follow at Dodd City Cemetery in Dodd City, TX. Ella passed away on November 20, 2018. She was born September 21, 1942 in Fannin County, to Virgil Harmon Lakey & Bessie Lee Dillard Lakey.

Ella married Jimmy Leon Caughron on October 2, 1970 in Grand Prairie, TX.  She was graduate of Dodd City High School.  She enjoyed crocheting and keeping her home clean.  Ella loved Gospel music, especially any from Elvis.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Harmon Lakey & Bessie Dillard Lakey; brothers, Willie Arthur Lakey, Clarence Ray Lakey, Billy Leeman Lakey, Sr., Euless Lakey and Roy Thomas Lakey; and sister, Vena Craig.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Jimmy Leon Caughron; daughter, Pamela Everett and husband Vic of Mansfield, TX; two sons, Glen Caughron and wife Brenda of Arlington and Edward Caughron of Gilmer; brother, Jimmy Lakey and sister, Virgie Stroud of Bonham; Grandchildren, Marnie DeLaCruz and husband Joseph, Victor Everett, Jr. and wife Christen, Brandi Marin and husband Nick, Amanda Bunte and husband Trevor and Katlyn Caughron; Great Grandchildren, Nathaniel Everett, Victoria Orgeron, Joseph DeLaCruz, Eliott Everett, Gabriel Everett, Hayden Marin, Laina Marin and Andrew Wyatt Marin.

The family will receive friends at 1-2 PM Thursday before the service at Wise Funeral Home Chapel.
