ELIZABETH MOORE

Funeral services for Abbie Elizabeth Moore, 81, of Sherman, formerly of the Mulberry Community, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dee Morton of Mulberry United Methodist Church will officiate. Elizabeth passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Sherman.

Elizabeth was born February 18, 1930 in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of W. J. Hall and Lorraine Hill Hall. She was a graduate of Bonham High School and married Richard Moore in Mulberry, TX on June 1, 1952. They made their home in Fort Worth where Elizabeth was very involved in her children's activities. She served as president of the P.T.A, was a leader of Bluebird, Campfire and Cub Scout groups and was a member of many women's and garden clubs. She loved to sew and was known for making many wedding and bridesmaids dresses for family and friends. Elizabeth was secretary to the credit manager of Montgomery Ward for a number of years. In 1980 they returned to Mulberry where Elizabeth loved to spend time with her siblings and friends and enjoyed keeping her grandchildren. She and Richard later owned and operated Woodard's Western Wear in Bonham for many years until their retirement. Elizabeth was a lifelong member of Mulberry United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Johnny Hall, Lester Hall, Kenneth Hall and Jerry Hall and a sister, Nancy Hall.

Son, Tom Moore of Sherman, TX
Sister, Melba Hall Brooks of Oklahoma City, OK
Grandsons, Joshua McCaslin, Caleb McCaslin and Micah McCaslin, all of Celeste
Several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Moore, Wayne Moore, Jimmy Moore, Justin Bankston, Stuart Hall and Bill Pannell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mulberry Cemetery Assn., c/o Velma Jones, 601 CR 1005, Savoy, TX 75479.
