Elizabeth Doss Goin

Elizabeth Doss Goin passed away on December 4th, 2022 at the age of 103.

Elizabeth was born in Bonham, Texas on February 13, 1919 to Frank and Alberta Scarborough Doss and had a twin sister, Eleanor Doss, later Hahn. Elizabeth is the granddaughter of A.B. Scarborough of Bonham. She graduated from Bonham High School and Texas Tech University. Elizabeth worked for Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation as a draftsman in Fort Worth, Tx while her future husband Charles William Goin served in North Africa and Italy during World War II. Charles and Elizabeth married on August 3rd, 1946 and were together until his death in January 2019.

Elizabeth enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, crocheting, and her family. They raised three children, Eleanor Ann Christenson of The Woodlands, TX, Charles Robert Goin of Marietta, GA and Nan Dakin of Fairview, TX. They were blessed with five grandsons, Mike Goin of The Woodlands, Tx, Scott Christenson of Cypress, TX, Jeff Goin of Canton, GA, Chris Goin of Marietta, GA and Danny Goin of Hendersonville, TN, as well as 14 great grandchildren.

As lifelong Presbyterians, Charles and Elizabeth were long time members and generous supporters of Grace Presbyterian Church in Plano, TX.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 2:00pm at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX
