Elaine Bonham of Pleasanton, California, passed peacefully on the evening of August 23, 2005 after an extended illness. She was born as Anne Elaine to George and Margaret McMichael in Campwood, Texas on February 7, 1936.
Elaine attended Texas Christian University as a music Major and appeared in several productions in Fort Worth theaters in the 1950's. While attending Texas Christian University Elaine taught at The Arthur Murray School of Dance. Texas Christian is where she met her husband, Jim. Elaine spent much of her time volunteering, participating in the Pleasanton-Blairgowrie Fergus Sister City Organization and working for the Pleasanton Unified School District. Her most important job was that of Mother and Homemaker. Elaine had many talents, including drawing and painting. Their home is filled with her beautiful expressions in oil, water color and pencil. They serve as enjoyable reminders of her talent, her love and her memory.
Elaine is survived by her husband, their sons, Jimmy and John, daughter, Jeni, brother, Ronnie McMichael, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel. A reception for Family and Friends will immediately follow at Granny Lou's Bed & Breakfast, 317 W Sam Rayburn Dr., Bonham.
