Graveside services for Ed "Glen" Stancil, age 96 of Bonham, TX will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Pecan Gap Cemetery in Pecan Gap, Texas, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Burt. He passed away on December 19, 2017 at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Nursing Home in Bonham. He was born September 1, 1921 in Blue Ridge, Texas to James Edgar Stancil and Zula Loraine Woods Stancil. He married Lucinda Mae Grose on June 15, 1974 in Hillsboro, TX. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a US Navy Veteran. He was employed with the Texas Power & Light Company in Hillsboro, Texas
Edgar was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Lucinda Mae Stancil, parents, James Edgar Stancil & Zula Loraine Woods Stancil and Brothers, Hoyt Stancil, Lowell Stancil and Ray Stancil.
Surviving are his Nephew, Avos Stancil of Pecan Gap, Texas
