Ed Head

Private inurnment graveside services for Mr. Ed Head, age 89, of Dodd City, will be held at 10:00 AM July 11, 2020 at the Dodd City Cemetery, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home, Bonham, Texas.  His nephew, Larry Head will officiate.  Mr. Head passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Mr. Head was born on November 7, 1930 in Dermott, Arkansas, the son of Elby Oreon Head and Margaret Burchfield Head.  He married Sharron Chapman on May 29, 1970.  He worked with the Raytheon Corporation as a Director in Manufacturing.  He enjoyed traveling in RV's on numerous trips and collecting model trains.  He was a longtime member of the Dallas Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his son DeWayne Head on April 12 ^th , 2020, his brother James Head and his grandson, Gary Head in 2018.

He is survived by his wife Sharron Head of Dodd City, Texas and sons, Danny Head of Lindale, Texas, Owen Head and wife Mary of Coppell, Texas, Robert Head of Big Spring, Texas and his daughters, Angela Head of Dallas and Arigayle Head and fiancé, Andrew Skinner of Argyle, TX, grandchildren, Natalie Head, Ashley Head, Kiefer Head, Morgan Kimbrell and husband Caleb, Danny Head, Jr., Rodney Head, Conner McBain and Grand-dog, Sally and numerous great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
