Dortha Jean "Dot" Hutchins

Funeral Services for Ms. Dortha Jean "Dot" Hutchins, 83, of Dodd City, will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Millard Doan Brent will officiate with the assistance of Bro. Abe Ogea. Burial will follow at Burns Cemetery in Trenton, Texas. Dot passed away Wednesday night, July 29, 2015 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas.
Dot was born November 14, 1931 in Elwood, Texas to B. Moss Hamilton and Berta Faye Davis. She attended Trenton High School and was a member of the Church of Christ in Elwood. Dot enjoyed traveling and had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Scooter. Her family and friends were very important to her; she loved them all.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, LeaAnn Hutchins, Brother Glen Hamilton, and two sisters, Dean Caddell and Mary Nell Lane.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Whaley Sr. of Dodd City; daughter Jeannie Stoddard (Billy) of Dodd City; three grandsons, Shelby Dotson (Dona), Jesse Childers, and Anthony Childers (Stephanie); Charles' grandchildren, Chuck Whaley (Lisa), Tim Whaley (Kim), Sherry Derrick (Larry), and Steve Whaley (Amy); numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Shelby Dotson, Jesse Childers, Anthony Childers, Tyler Dotson, Trayton Dotson, and John David Pilliod.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Chuck Whaley, Tim Whaley, and Steven Whaley.
The Family will receive friends an hour prior to service time.
