Funeral services for Doris Louise Hasten, 92, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ralph Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Doris passed away early Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Seven Oaks Nursing & Rehab in Bonham.
Doris was born December 7, 1921 in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Samuel Wylie Hayes and Bessie Florence Kerr Hayes. She attended schools in the Nunnelee Community of Fannin County. Doris married Glenn Arnett Hasten on June 1, 1940 in Sherman, Texas, and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles. Doris attended Fannin Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gary Dean Hasten, a daughter, Deanna Joyce Ritter, a brother, James Robert Hayes, and two sisters, Hazel Hayes and Billie Hallman
Doris is survived by her son, James Craig Hasten and wife, Robbin of Bonham, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Hasten, Andy Taylor, Jerry Wood, Dakota Guilliams, Ryan Hasten and Mike Lindsey.
