Family visitation for Doris Faye Ethridge, 75, of Bonham, will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday March 7, 2014 at Wise Funeral Home. Doris passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Bonham Nursing Center, in Bonham Texas.
Doris was born on June 3, 1938, in Clovis, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Floyd and Ruby Oldham. She was a truck driver for MNX and later became a caregiver. She loved to paint and draw, and do craft work. She also enjoyed traveling, dancing, and baking cakes. Doris attended First Pentecostal Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sherman Lee Ethridge, son, Thomas Hill and son-in-law, Larry Carl Shipman.
She is survived by three
daughters, Edith Lewis Fry and husband Teddy of Dodd City, Texas, Sharmin Pilliod and husband John David of Bonham, Texas and Kathy Shipman of Estelline, Texas; daughter-in-law, Gay Hill, Cooper, Texas;
sister, Rita Small and husband Wayne of Portales, New Mexico;
grandchildren, Larry, Ben, and Charles Shipman; Charlie and Chantz Lewis; Angela Welchman; Brandy and Joseph Hill; and Daulton and Delaney Pilliod
numerous great grandchildren, extended family, and a host of friends.
