Donald Ray Dodson Sr.

Donald Ray Dodson SR (Donny) age 67 of Denison, TX was born in Bonham, TX to Ernest Harvey and Lucille (White) Dodson on November 20, 1955. He passed away on September 29, 2023 in Denison, TX.

Donny enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his grandkids play sports, and spending time with his family.  Donny was a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend.

He is survived by son Donald Ray Dodson Jr (DJ) and wife Amanda of Collinsville, TX; Daughter Gabriella Young and husband Michael of Gainesville, TX; daughter Christina Nolen of Gainesville, TX; Grandchildren Landon Nolen, Tanner Young, Roger Cannaday III, Kutter Dodson, Abbi Dodson, Brayden Salinas, Ryder Dodson, and Brooks Alexander Clinesmith.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother James Dodson, and Sister Zelinda Flippo (Lynn).

The family would like to thank the staff at Home Hospice of Grayson County and Beacon Hill Nursing Home for years of love and exceptional care.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 2:00pm at Wise Funeral Home Chapel.
