Mass of Christian Burial for Domingo Herrera Cisnero, age 74 of Ravenna, Texas will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bonham, Texas, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Father Paolo Capra will be Celebrant. Interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. Domingo passed away on July 2, 2017 in Bonham, Texas.
He was born January 29, 1943 in Mathis, Texas to Frank Albert Cisnero and Victoria Herrera Cortez. Eldest of 8 siblings, he developed a strong sense of family and learned the value of hard work and perseverance. He was a jack of all trades; his interests included working on cars, hunting, fishings, carpentry, gardening, and barbequing. He revered the rustic country lifestyle and came to embody the characteristics and values of an old west cowboy. His cowboy hats and boots often made him stand out in crowds. But it was his warm and inviting demeanor that drew people to him. He was loved dearly by all his friends and family.
Domingo was preceded in death by his, parents, Frank Albert & Victoria Cisnero; sister, Sally Gatica; brothers, Wally Cisnero, and Frank Cisnero Jr.; and nephew, Rodney Cisnero.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Francisca Quispe Cisnero of Ravenna, Texas; daughter, Sophia Cisnero of Dallas, Texas; sons, Domingo Cisnero Jr. (Cristina) of Rowlett, Texas, Richard Cisnero (Vanessa) of Garland, Texas, Arthur Cisnero (Esther) of Rowlett, Texas; 9 loving grandchildren and 1 beautiful great grandchild; sisters, Margaret Carmona of Rowlett, Texas, Mary Cisnero of Princeton, Texas and Dora De LaCruz of McKinney, Texas; brothers, Rudy Cisnero and wife Annette of Bonham, Texas, Jesse Cisnero and wife Felicia of Bailey, Texas, and David Cisnero of Plano, Texas; Several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. A visitation will follow until service time.
