Funeral services for Dianna Jo "Nana" Cox, 64, of Bonham, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Trenton under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor Shawn Wilkerson will officiate with the assistance of Mark Owens. Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Dianna passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Beacon Hill Nursing Home in Denison, Texas.
Dianna was born February 18, 1950 in Fredrick, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joe Dudley Cochran and Bessie Jo Johnson. She was a graduate of Altus High School and attended Amarillo College. Dianna enjoyed making jewelry, watching movies, collecting crosses, and listening to music. She took pleasure from the aesthetic beauty of horses and flowers; red being her favorite color. Dianna had a deep appreciation and respect for law enforcement, with over 18 years of service with the Amarillo Police Department. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandsons. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Julie Montgomery.
Dianna is survived by her son, John and Sherri Cox of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughters, Sherry and Jeff Patton of Bonham, Texas and Carrie and John Snyder of Trenton, Texas; Grandchildren, William and Devin Snyder of Trenton, Texas; Nephews, Joe Montgomery and wife Francis and D.D. Montgomery and wife Susan.
Pallbearers will include members of the Choice Moore and Buster Cole Field Department units and the McKinney Police Department; Randy Patton, Phillip McGehee, Chase Banker, Richard Halliday, Buddy Hansen, and Damon Andrews.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, an hour prior to the service.
