Dessie Euvena Hintergardt

A Visitation for family and friends celebrating the life of Dessie Euvena Hintergardt, age 90 of Telephone, TX will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Wise Funeral Home. Dessie passed away on April 28, 2018. She was born September 15, 1927 in Newport, Tennessee to John William Russell and Monnie Kay Suggs Russell.

Dessie married Leroy Hintergardt on March 25, 1948 in Knoxville, TN. She was active at St. James Lutheran Church in Allens Chapel, where she volunteered in various capacities, including the food pantry. She loved the outdoors and continued to care for her yard until only the last couple of years. Her biggest treasure however was her family.

Dessie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Leroy Hintergardt on June 25, 1992; parents, John William Russell & Monnie Kay Russell; sisters, Mabel and Audrey.

Surviving are her two sons, Michael Hintergardt & wife Connie of Telephone, TX and Larry Hintergardt and wife Peggy of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Amanda Hamilton and husband Jeremy of Bonham, Christy Phillips and husband Cody of Bonham, Blake Hintergardt and Jax Hintergardt, both of Dallas; four great-grandchildren, Charlie Phillips, Jacob Phillps, Alli Jo Hamilton and Mychael Hamilton; several nieces and nephews in Tennessee.

At Dessie's request, no formal services will be held.
