Debra Susan Hardy

Funeral Services for Debra Susan Hardy, age 50, of Ivanhoe, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at Telephone Baptist Church in Telephone, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Mickey Lyles will officiate. Burial will follow at Duplex Cemetery in Fannin County, Texas. Debra passed away Friday morning, January 21, 2022, lovingly surrounded by family at her home in Ivanhoe, Texas.

Debra was born on March 13, 1971, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Bobby Gene Roberts and Bertha Joan Pearce Roberts. She graduated from Garland High School in 1989. Debra married Brian Neal Hardy on July 15, 1995, at Boyd Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas; their wedding day was one year and a day after they had first met, according to Debra, and they were married for 26 years prior to her passing. She was a member of Telephone Baptist Church. Debra worked at Bailey Inglish for over twenty years as a head start teacher. She dearly loved her students. Her absolute favorite thing to do was to "burn the roads." Debra loved to travel; Mexico being her favorite destination. But her dreams were granted when, for their twenty-year wedding anniversary, Brian and Debra traveled to Europe and visited Italy. Debra was a loving mother, wife, and friend. Memories of her will be cherished by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant sons, Colton Russell Hardy and Carter Wade Hardy.

Debra is survived by her husband, Brian Hardy of Ivanhoe, Texas; son, Hunter Lane Hardy of Ivanhoe, Texas; brother, David Glenn Roberts and wife Tina of Tyler, Texas; sister, Robin Reunard of Colbert, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Lyles, Joe Lyles, Justin Bankston, Monte Hardy, Larry Crane, and Bill South.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022, an hour prior to service time at Telephone Baptist Church in Telephone, Texas.
