Dawn Eileen Winkler

A memorial visitation for Dawn Eileen Schafer Winkler, 77, of Bonham, will be held from

2:00 to 3:00 PM Friday, July 2, 2021 in the Wise Funeral Home stateroom.  Dawn passed away Monday morning, June 28, 2021 at her residence.

Dawn was born September 21, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Robert Littlefield Schafer and Jennie Sims Schafer. She was a 1961 graduate of Bloomfield Hills High School in Michigan.  Dawn married Larry Dale Winkler in 1979.  She was a retired flight attendant for American Airlines and enjoyed playing Bunco, reading, needlepoint and watching Hallmark movies.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert L. "Bob" Schafer, Jr.

Dawn leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 42 years, Larry Dale Winkler of Bonham, TX; two daughters, Jennifer Linza of Wylie, TX and Suzette Winkler Stewart and husband, Marvin of Burleson, TX; two sons, Dennis Winkler and Andrea Russell of Bonham, TX and Richard "Richie" Winkler and wife, Lisa of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Marilynne Schafer; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; cousins, Donna Phillips and Ross Schafer; and extended family and friends.
