Graveside services for David Paul Woolsey, 56, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 in Arledge Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Cody Nelson will officiate. David passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 10, 2014 at Red River Regional Hospital.
David was born April 9, 1958 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Paul Lee Woolsey and Patsy Lorene Melson Woolsey. He was a graduate of Bonham High School where he played the drums in the marching band. David worked for The Bonham Daily Favorite as a cameraman and pressman for 20 years and also worked for The Herald Democrat and The Dallas Morning News as a pressman for a number of years. He played the drums with a number of bands and enjoyed riding motorcycles. David married Karen Denise Willis in 1998 in Fannin County. He was a member of Seventh & Main Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother in 2013.
David is survived by his wife, Karen Woolsey of Denison, Texas;
father, Paul Lee Woolsey of Bonham, Texas; son, Jefferson Paul "Jeff" Woolsey and wife, Ashley of Bonham, Texas;
daughter, Jessica Lynn (Nelson) Ryan of Fairbaulk, Minnesota;
Aunt, Katie Lou Bethel and husband, Jimmy of Bonham
two grandchildren, Kaden Scott Nelson of New York and Edan Paul Woolsey of Bonham, Texas; two stepdaughters and six step grandchildren; extended family and friends.
