Funeral services for Coy Owens, 79, of Trenton, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 1, 2015 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Clements will officiate. Burial will follow in Burns Cemetery, Trenton, Texas. Coy passed away early Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Coy was born March 17, 1936 in Bailey, Texas, the son of Hoyt Owens and Nellie Pearl Perkins Owens. He was a graduate of Bailey High School. Coy married Carla Jo Savage on Dec. 21, 1956 and she preceded him in death Aug. 1, 1977. He later married Peggie Sue Hearne on July 15, 1978, and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Owens.
Coy is survived by two sons, Lance Jason Owens and wife, Misti of Dallas, Texas and Brent Craig Owens and wife, Marinda of Bonham, Texas; stepdaughter, Andrea K. Ziemann of Arlington, Texas; two
brothers, Tom Owens of Crossroads, Texas and Troy Owens of Garland, Texas; four sisters, Sue Savage of Trenton, Texas, Berniece Treadway of Leonard, Texas, Ann Milsap of Bailey, Texas and Mozell Woodall of Odessa, Texas; Grandchildren, Ashley Owens, Blake Morley, Brandi Schmuck, Dustin Owens, Destiny Womack and Cheyenne Womack; Great Grandchildren, Aiden Owens, Eli Lingle, Gabe Elias, Carter Owens, Cadence Owens, Kenneth Owens, Corbyn Shoemaker and Allyson Shoemaker and a number of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
