A cremation service was held for Ret. Colonel William Fredrick "Bruce" Thompson, Sr., 82, of Bonham formerly of Grand Prairie. Wise Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Bruce passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham.
William "Bruce" was born October 10, 1929 in Abilene, Texas, the son of Earl John Thompson and Mary Marchetti Thompson. Bruce was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University. He was a retired Colonel with the US Army and an Investment Banker. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl John "Buster" Thompson.
