Clifton Wayne Roskowske

Family Gathering for Clifton Wayne Roskowske, age 68, of Bonham, Texas will be held at 3:00 p.m. at his home at 412 Bills in Bonham, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Clifton passed away Thursday night, September 2, 2021, at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas.

Clifton was born on December 31, 1952, in Honey Grove, Texas, the son of Theodore Roskowske and Dollie Mae Jones Roskowske. He married Janet Diane Hughes on July 20, 1974, in Pasadena, Texas. They were married 47 years prior to his passing. Clifton took pride in his work, having worked hard all his life. He was an outdoorsman in his younger years, enjoying camping and water skiing. Clifton was often seen tending his yard, so much so, he earned the nickname "Mow Man." He was one of the GREATEST TEACHERS of how a man is supposed to be. He did not teach with words; he taught by example; he lived it. Clifton showed how a man is supposed to be; honest, hardworking, supportive, and caring. He also showed how a man has to be tough; not with your fists; but when the world beats you down you get back up. Sometimes things are going to be hard; you don't complain about it; find a way or make one. You could always depend on him to help if you needed it. He never turned his back on his family. God must have needed his strength in heaven; for we all knew that Clifton was a MIGHTY MAN; he was our SAMSON. His laughter, watching him dance, his home-made biscuits, and his Banana Pudding will be greatly missed. He was a GREAT MAN; he was an INSPIRATION; if people would live by his example; the world will be a better place. Clifton will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant twin sisters, Jane and Janie.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janet Roskowske of Bonham, Texas; sons, Daniel Roskowske and wife Heather of Bonham, Texas, Curtis Roskowske and wife Jennifer of Ector, Texas, and Bryan Roskowske and wife Dusty of Bonham, Texas; brothers, Theodore Roskowske and wife Liz of Bonham, Texas, Charles Roskowske and wife Marie of Wyoming, David Roskowske of Bonham, Texas, Weldon Roskowske of Bonham, Texas, and Don Roskowske and wife Agena of Houston, Texas; sisters, Emogene Robertson and husband David of Carson, Texas, Elaine Capehart and husband Randy Fields of Bonham, Texas, Debbie Fox and husband Scott Warlick of Bonham, Texas, Nancy Sigrist and husband Phillip of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, Lexi Pipper, Tyler Roskowske, Shelby Earnhardt, Veronica Earnhardt, Seth Roskowske, Nathan Roskowske, Dylan York, Kara York, Hannah Petty, Baylee Petty, DavidDaniel Roskowske, Justin Hewitt, and Jacy Hewitt; 9 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
