Clara Elizabeth Hamilton

Graveside services for Clara Elizabeth Vail Hamilton, age 85, of Gunter, TX, formerly of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 in Willow Wild Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor Allen Luker will officiate. Clara passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ in Sherman, TX.
Clara was born July 17, 1927 in Pawling, New York, the daughter of Willard Charles Vail and Alice Bierce Vail. She married William Adell Hamilton on Jan. 29, 1946 in Pawling, NY, and he preceded her in death, Jan. 10, 1972. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Clara was a member of the Episcopal Church and loved playing Bingo at Hilltop Haven where she has resided for a number of years. Clara was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Howard Vail and Larry Vail, two sisters, Jean G. McCarnty and Marian Alice Tompkins and a granddaughter, Dixie.

three Sons, Charles W. "Chuck" Hamilton and wife, Patti of Van Alstyne, TX, Robert L. "Bob" Hamilton of Calistoga, CA, and
David W. Hamilton and wife, Martha of McKinney, TX
one Daughter, Sandra Elizabeth "Sandie" Dagenais of Durant, OK, five grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family, Adopted daughter, Ann Elizabeth Webber.
Pallbearers will be Clara's children, Chuck, Bob, David and Sandie.
