Funeral services for Chloada Fern Schaub, 95, of Bonham, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 26, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N. Antioch, Gladstone, Missouri 64119, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home, Bonham, Texas. Chloada passed away Wednesday night, Jan. 21, 2015 at Crawford Street Place in Denison, Texas.
Chloada was born May 16, 1919 in Polk, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar Warren and Golden Storment Warren. She married Raymond Schaub on April 18, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1985. Chloada was a US Army veteran of WWII. She was a bookkeeper for numerous years and later retired as a sales associate for Sears at the age of 85. She loved gardening, working outside, sewing and cooking. She doted on her three granddaughters and later her great grandchildren. Chloada was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She lived in the house she and husband, Ray, built from 1954 until 2007 when she moved to Texas with her daughter, Brenda and son-in-law, Wayne. The last years of her life allowed her to enjoy family, her cats and simple pleasures like going to a nearby park on sunshiny days. With advancing dementia, loss of vision and deteriorating mobility, she was lovingly cared for by the devoted staff at Crawford Street Place in Denison, Texas for her last two years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Hendrix in 2007, two sisters, Jewell Ottens and Vanbuna Warren and four brothers, Norris Warren, Nelson Warren, Elson Warren and Arbie Warren.
Chloada is survived by her daughter, Brenda Moore (Wayne) of Bonham, Texas; one brother, Arnol Warren of Perry, Kansas; one sister
Delma Hembree (Clarance) of Kansas City, Kansas; sister-in-law, Virginia Warren of Bolivar, Missouri; three grandchildren, Janet and husband, Larry Franklin of Overland Park, Kansas, Jennifer Hendrix of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jillian Hendrix of Kansas City, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Christian and Alex Franklin, Kennedy and Jackson Hendrix, and Jordan Hendrix; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
