Charles Bert "Chuck" Burnett

Funeral services for Charles Bert "Chuck" Burnett, 82, of Lake Jackson, Texas, formerly of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Vance Castator will officiate. Burial will follow in Moores Chapel Cemetery.

Chuck was born July 30, 1933 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Burton Hale Burnett and Faye Inez Herriage Burnett. He was a graduate of Bonham High School and received his Associates degree in Business from Grayson County College. Chuck married Evelyn Louise Marshall on Aug. 2, 1958 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant serving his country 20 years, through the Korean War and Vietnam. After his retirement in 1973, he worked as Vice President of manufacturing for Headway Research. Chuck was a member of First Baptist Church in Bonham. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Evelyn Louise Burnett of Lake Jackson, Texas; son, Joel Edward Burnett of Lake Jackson, Texas; daughters, Jackie Faye Skrine and husband, Walter of Overton, Texas and Sharlene Amanda Castator and husband, Vance of Lake Jackson, Texas; brother, John W. Burnett and wife, Kay of Bonham, Texas; sister, Beckey Burnett Bridges of Durant, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Candice Ellis, Michael Castator, Lauren Crofton, Joel Eric Burnett, Amanda Taylor, Ashley Skrine, Walter Skrine, Katlin Skrine and Brittany Daigle.

Pallbearers will be Joel Edward Burnett, Walter Charles Skrine, Michael Castator, Trent Alexander, Tracy Alexander and Dennis Alexander. Honorary pallbearer will be grandson, Joel Eric Burnett, Sgt., US Army serving in Afghanistan.
