"For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling." 2 Corinthians 5:1-2
Zack Cookman (officially, Charles Calvin Cookman) born August 7, 1974 first born to Noel and Belinda Gay Cookman in Concord, NC. Zack's natural profession was comedy, his job for the past decade or more being a digital marketer. From his teenage years, he specialized in delighting people and "lighting up the room." He would help the "Children's Pastor" in his local church by dressing up in a variety of costumes or operating the puppets and holding young kids in rapt attention. Always intensely interested in movies and sports, he had an uncanny memory of certain major sporting events as experienced with his friends or family. He could tell you where he was when watching a certain game and with whom he watched it, going back decades. In 1999 he earned a certification in sound recording engineering at Full Sail (Orlando, FL). Even though Zack's younger brother, Andy, was his dearest friend, his circle of friends and family reached far and wide. Though never married, Zack build and nurtured life-long relationships with many girls as well as his buddies – they were all his dear friends. Whether it as was the wait staff at Sullivan's Steakhouse in Charlotte, NC or Melting Pot in Longwood, FL or digital marketer and funny man at TaiLopez.com or wherever he worked – he connected with people and maintained long term friendships. More than any other human relationships, his character was epitomized in that he was such a loving and devoted son. He treasured his parents and both sets of grandparents. And, he loved God for the grace he experienced in Jesus Christ. Zack faithfully produced a Sunday night podcast January 2021 – June 2022, Fireside Chat, which featured discussions about the wonderful grace of God. ( www.SeeingGrace.com )
Zack was loved by virtually everyone who knew him. He leaves a big hole, impossible to fill.
