Cecil Audry Kyle

Private Graveside Services for Cecil Audry Kyle, age 83, of Whitewright will be held at Merit Cemetery in Merit, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cecil passed away Sunday evening, April 26, 2020 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas.

Cecil was born on March 24, 1937, in Ravenna, Texas; the son of Ernest Ray Kyle and Dorothy Pauline Patterson Kyle. He attended Savoy High School and at the young age of 17, joined the United States Marines. Cecil served his country honorably for 21 years before he retired from the military. His service included two tours to Vietnam. Cecil attended West Shady Grove Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, Texas. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique cars. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Charlotte Andrea Kyle, brother, Vanden Kyle, and sister, Marita Jean Nolen.

Fond memories of Cecil will forever be remembered and cherished by his surviving family members; son, Jason Kyle and wife Shantell of Bells, Texas; daughter, Dana Harris and husband John of Ector, Texas; brothers, Paul Kyle and wife Linda of Bonham, Texas and Jimmy Kyle and wife Vicky of Sherman, Texas; brother-in-law, Roy Nolen of Trenton, Texas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Cecil will lie in state at Wise Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 and Wednesday, April 29, 2020 for those who wish to come by for viewing and to sign the register.
