Carolyn June Bicknell

Carolyn "June" Bicknell, age 85 passed away and has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at her residence in Austin, TX on August 6, 2024.

June was born on November 27, 1938 in Italy, TX to R.C and Cleo Hasten. She married Harold Bicknell on August 6, 1954 and they were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Sherri, Cindy, and Connie. June was a lifelong resident of Bonham where she and her husband, Harold owned and operated several car washes in Bonham, Bells, and Whitewright. She was a devout Christian, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and later Boyd Baptist Church. She attributed her ability to cope with her life tragedies to her faith in God. June watched her children grow up and get married and have children. At the age of 55, she and Harold started over and raised twin granddaughters, Misty and Rainy Goodin. Harold passed away on December 3, 2012 and June continued to support Misty and Rainy. She proudly watched them graduate college and marry. She was also able to meet and hold her first great-grandson, River earlier this year. June was loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Forever in our hearts, We Love You!

June is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold Bicknell, daughters, Cindy Halverson, Connie Pierce, grandson, Jared Baugh, granddaughter, Ashley Kennedy, parents, R.C. and Cleo Hasten, sister, Sue Elliott, niece, Suzanne Sommers, grandparents, Ernest and Sula Hasten, and grandmother, Lela Briles.

She is survived by daughter, Sherri Winnett and husband Jerry, granddaughters, Kelsi Winnett, Misty David and husband John, Rainy Heady and husband Cameron, grandson, Jason Goodin, sister, Rita Willis and husband Charles, nieces, Christa Hawk and husband Douglas, Samantha Hawk, Skye Hawk, nephew, Claud Elliott, great nephew,  Zane Sommers and wife Allison,  great great niece Henley, great grandsons, Dillon Baugh, River David, and many cousins.

A graveside service will be Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10am @ Arledge Ridge Cemetery, Bonham, TX with Pastor Mike Allred officiating.
