Carol Annette Riley, age 59, of Bonham, Texas, passed away on July 16, 2026, in Bonham, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home, Bonham, TX. 

She was born on November 16, 1966, in Sherman, Texas, and from the beginning of her life, she carried a warmth and brightness that would remain with her always. Carol was known as a precious woman with a childlike spirit, and those who knew her were often touched by her gentle heart, her joyful nature, and the sincere kindness she extended to others.

Carol faced life with courage and faith, even when her path became difficult. Throughout her battle with cancer, she continued to share the love of God with everyone around her. She spoke openly about Jesus and lived in a way that reflected the hope and strength of her beliefs. Her faith was not only something she spoke about, but something she carried with her in every season of life. Even during illness, she remained a witness to grace, offering encouragement and pointing others toward the peace she found in her relationship with the Lord.

Her childlike spirit was one of the many qualities that made Carol so memorable. She had a simple and genuine delight in the world around her, and she approached others with sincerity and tenderness. She could bring a smile with her sweet personality and her ability to see beauty in ordinary moments. Those who were blessed to know her will remember her as someone who loved deeply, believed faithfully, and lived with a heart that was open to others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Billie Carter, and siblings, Paul and Sarah Riley. She leaves behind brother Tery Riley and wife Debbie and sister, Robin Stigger.
