Bobby Ray Swindell

Private Graveside Services at Carson Cemetery in Ector, Texas will be held for Bobby Ray Swindell, age 64, of Howe, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Allred will be the officiant. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Bobby passed away early Tuesday morning, March 31, 2020, at his residence in Howe, Texas.

Bobby was born on April 18, 1955 in Denison, Texas, the son of William Elbert Swindle and Geraldine Finley Hambrick. He was a member of Fannin Bible Baptist Church where he was baptized. Bobby was a novice musician, he enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He loved listening to old country music. Bobby was a truck driver for many years. He liked the open road and the peace it brought to him. Bobby's favorite pastime was spending time with family. He will be greatly missed. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents.

Fond memories of Bobby will forever be remembered and cherished by his surviving family members; brother, Billy Dean Swindle of Edhube, Texas; sisters, Jeanette Skidmore and husband Thomas of Ravenna, Texas, Judy Atchley and husband Brett of Bonham, Texas, and Janice Davenport of Bonham, Texas; 11 nieces, 10 nephews, 14 great nieces, 10 great nephews, and 4 great-great nieces, all of whom he thought of as his own children; and numerous friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Atchley, Clint Atchley, Gordon Davenport, John England, William Reid, Cody Skidmore, Chris Swindle, and Shy Swindle.

Bobby will lie in state at Wise Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2020 and Friday, April 3, 2020 for those who wish to come by for viewing and to sign the register.
