Bob L Satterfield

A funeral service for Bobby Lee Satterfield, 55 will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 2:00pm at Wise Funeral Home, 219 West Sam Rayburn, Dr. Bonham, TX 75418.

Bob Satterfield was on born on May 22, 1969, in Pecos TX and passed away on June 8th , 2024 after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer.

Bob never met a problem that he could not find a solution for. He passed this skill on to his children who to this day don't believe there is problem that they can't solve. Bob spent his whole life ensuring the safety of others as he spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan working with the Army Special Forces and Seal Team 8. He worked for 30 years in law enforcement and various other Corporate Security positions. He was a passionate leader that loved helping others. He worked as a K9 handler and was gifted dog trainer. He trained dogs to find bombs and basically almost anything you could think of. He loved his dog Hank, and they shared a special relationship till the very end.

He loved his family and friends. When you met Bob, you were better for it, he had a way of connecting with people that was genuine and sincere. He loved music and could name any song after hearing just a few seconds of the song. The really miraculous part of about his musical acumen is that he could also tell you the artist and when the song was recorded. It really was pretty incredible to listen to him talk about it. He enjoyed playing the guitar and started playing at the age of 4. Bob had a passion for mixed martial arts and started at the early age of 6 with Karate. He eventually had a Mixed Martial Arts school where he enjoyed training others. He trained with several legendary MMA fighters like Frank Shamrock and Josh "The Punk" Thompson. His family members were sometimes his unwilling training partners.

Bob really did enjoy life and excelled in anything that he was passionate about. He was married to the love of his life Patty Satterfield for 22 years. Bob is preceded in death by his brother Danny Ortega.  He is survived by his parents, Mike and Frances Moreno, his wife, Patty Satterfield and his five children Ali Martinez, Ashlee Amaya, Dylan Berryhill, Devin Berryhill and Parker Satterfield. In addition, he is survived by his siblings Frank Ortega, Rick Satterfield, Rusty Satterfield, Shelly Satterfield and Samantha Bruce and his five grandchildren, Kynzlee, Kingston, Kwinn, Sipriano, and Koralee.
