Bishop Walter T. "Cotton" Tidmore

Funeral services for ordained Bishop Walter Thomas "Cotton" Tidmore, 85, of Weatherford, Texas, formerly of Bonham will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at Living Word Church of God in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. State Bishop Wayne Dority, Bishop T. C. McIntire, Bishop Forest Bass and Bishop John Chism will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM Saturday in Valliant Cemetery, Valliant, Oklahoma with Bishop Jerry McDowell officiating. Cotton passed away Wednesday night, Sept. 11, 2013 in Bonham.
Cotton was born August 23, 1928 in Valliant, Oklahoma, the son of William Tidmore and Mabel Henson Tidmore. He married Clarine Elizabeth Barrett on Dec. 7, 1946 in DeQueen, Arkansas, and she preceded him in death Feb. 14, 2012. Cotton then moved back to Weatherford, and married Bonnie Clover on April 28, 2013. He was a Church of God minister for over 60 years, pastoring churches in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, West Virginia and Kentucky. He was a member of the North Main Church of God in Weatherford and the Silver Threads Ministry. He was loved by so many including all children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cotton was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, William, Odell, Marvin, Melvin, Cecil and Alvie Tidmore and 6 sisters, Lillian Hatcher, Jean Goodwin, Nellie Bruno, Bonnie Noonan, Zelma Tucker and Lotty Wilson.
Cotton is survived by his wife, Bonnie Tidmore of Weatherford, TX, daughter, Judi Wheeler and husband, Larry of Bonham, TX, brothers, Elvis Tidmore and wife, Deborah, Carl Tidmore and wife, Sharon, Wesley Tidmore and wife, Evelyn, Wilburn Tidmore and wife, Alice, Bob Tidmore and wife, Nancy, Arvin Tidmore and wife, Frankie, and Cecil Tidmore, grandchildren, David and Kim Wheeler, Tony and Cindy Wheeler, Jody and Jenni Wheeler, Josh and Jennifer Tidmore and Garett Tidmore,
great grandchildren, Trey Wheeler, Emily and Joel Neve, Jacob Wheeler, AnnaLisa Wheeler, Jordan Wheeler, Abby Wheeler, Ethan Wheeler and Liam Tidmore,
great great grandson, Thomas Nikon Neve, numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Freddie Miller and Joyce Capers and extended family,

Pallbearers will be David Wheeler, Tony Wheeler, Jody Wheeler, Jacob Wheeler, Josh Tidmore and Rocky Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Wheeler, Ethan Wheeler, Trey Wheeler, Bret Youngblood and Joel Neve.
