Funeral services for Billy Don Washburn, 67, of Bonham, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Adam Barker will officiate. Burial will follow in Owens Chapel Cemetery. Billy passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at his residence.
Billy was born May 19, 1947 in Bells, Texas, the son of Weldon H. Washburn and Alta Faye Arnwine Washburn. He was a high school graduate and attended Grayson County College and Cooke County College. Billy was a US Army veteran and owner/operator of Neighborhood Pest Control company for many years. He enjoyed playing Bingo and loved animals. He married Shirley Ann Danner in 1990. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bonham. Billy was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Weldon Washburn and Mark Lynn Washburn, his mother and his father.
