Funeral services for Billy Ray Banks, 71, of Carrollton, Texas, formerly of Fannin County, will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark Nevels will officiate. Burial will follow in Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Billy passed away Tuesday night, Dec. 10, 2013 at his residence.

Billy was born July 13, 1942 in Ennis, Texas the son of Bill Banks and Nellie Lee Wilkerson Banks. He attended Kaufman Schools. Billy liked driving a race car, both drag racing and dirt track racing, and was a great fan of NASCAR and football. He enjoyed his horses and farming and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Billy was a member of Edhube Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church in Carrollton. He was a master plumber and co-owned and operated B & B Construction in Carrollton, Texas. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, twin brothers, Troy Banks and Roy Banks, two sisters, Ruby Kines Webster and Katherine Kines, and longtime companion, LaRae Watkins.

5 Grandchildren, Logan Banks and wife, Amanda Reed, Ashley Parrish and husband, Kyle, Madison Wright, Carson Williams and Cooper Williams

Former spouse, Virginia Banks Haynes of Carrollton, Texas
