Funeral services for Billie Ruth Bates, 70, of Ladonia, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 2, 2011 at Oak Ridge Church of Christ near Bugtussle, TX under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Bro. Jeremy Jones and Bro. Tommy Wishard will officiate. Burial will follow in Gober Cemetery. Billie Ruth passed away early Friday, April 29, 2011 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Commerce, TX.
Billie Ruth was born July 8, 1940 in the Hail Community of Fannin County, TX, the daughter of Thomas Gifford Butler and Ruth Estelle Ward Butler. She attended Bartley Woods School. Billie Ruth was an independent hairdresser for many years. She was a member of Oak Ridge Church of Christ. Billie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Tiffany Bates (2000), a sister, Patsy Hall (1972), and two brothers, Bobby Gerald Butler (2004) and Samuel Albert "Sammy" Butler (2008).

3 Daughters, Jimmie Green (Dwight) of Quinlan,
Rhonda Wade (Jerry) of Tahlequah, OK,
Angie Hunter (Jeff) of Royce City, TX,
3 Brothers, Thomas W. Butler of Granbury, TX,
Jimmy Butler of Blue,OK,
Donald Butler of Borger, TX
4 Sisters, LaNora Wiggins of Ladonia,
Mary Jackson and Ellen Matthews, both of Sulphur Springs, TX,
Darlene Brown of Jarrell, TX,
5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Steven Hall, Aaron Brown, Andrew Brown, Matt Hubert and Matt Rosenbaum.
